Summary As a child, filmmaker Uli Decker dreamed of becoming a pope, refused to wear clothes, and preferred to have a beard - because obviously only those who have beards lead exciting and interesting lives. After her father's death, a now adult Uli receives a box from her mother that is said to have belonged to her father. The box contains clothing, make-up and brushes, and diaries. The family secret, the weight of which threatened to overwhelm Uli during her childhood, is finally revealed. If Uli's mother had her way, no one apart from Uli and her sister, Cordula, would find out about it. Years later, as a filmmaker, Uli reveals her father's secret in order to free herself from this burden and counteract common heteronormative lifestyles. Decker's film plays with the collage technique and incorporates documentary material. Source: DVD.
