Summary Since her older brother Dennis jumped to his death two years ago, 17-year-old Rebekka has tried in vain to come to terms with his suicide. Her parents are primarily concerned with maintaining their bourgeois façade and, like the village community, have long since identified a "culprit" for Dennis' death: Vincent, his best friend. Vincent also jumped off the bridge at the time, but miraculously managed to survive the fall. Rebekah sees Vincent as a dismissive oddball, and the only way to finally understand who her brother really was. Against the bitter resistance of Rebekah's parents, the two young people get closer, and a stormy love affair develops which is increasingly destructive. Rebekah is drawn deeper into her brother's emotional world than she would like. Source: DVD
